Merry Christmas with Tattered Lace die on embossing with Tonic nuvo shimmer powders Sun 10 Feb 19

Hi again all my lovely loyal followers (if I have any lol).

Today I've used a large die to make a quick Christmas card.  If you've already created loads of backgrounds with your Tonic Nuvo Shimmer powders like me it really is quick.  My background was created by embossing large Justrite background stamps in gold and silver powders.  Then I

added my Tonic Nuvo Powders, I sprayed with water and watched the magic happen!  Once dry I ran it through my Gemini with the Tattered lace die, added a card base and some snowflakes and gems and that was it done.

I still achieved a beautiful card without too much effort, and I love the distressed way the embossing looks once you've die cut it.

Card base is 11 1/2 x 4 1/8 scored at 5 3/4

Items Used
Black card
Bermuda Bay card Stampin Up
Tattered Lace Merry Christmas Background die
Justrite background stamp Damask Wallpaper
Heartfelt Creations background stamp Burnished Key Precut set
Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powders in Cherry Bomb, Atlantis burst, Catherine Wheel and Green Parade

As always I do hope you like.

Hohoho Christmas card using strip dies sentiment dies and Nuvo background Sun Jan 13 2019

Hi again craftland

Jacqui back with another project for you (if Thor my cat will let me type that is lol).  For this card I've used some backgrounds I created in an earlier youtube video.  I used Tonic nuvo shimmer powders and brushos to create them.  I wanted to make them into cards where I could still see lots of the background as I love making backgrounds and wanted to show them off not hide them.  On some I've also foiled over the top of the background too and I loved the shiny distress effect it gives.

I searched through my stash and found some Tonic and Sue Wilson strip dies, and some sentiment dies.  I thought these would be the perfect decoration for my card.  I scanned the actual strip dies into my brother scan n cut and got an outline for my sentiments.  I cut the outline in vellum and the dies in foil card.

The strip dies I layered up four times before adding.  To finish the cards I used some snowflakes and gems.

Items Used

Tonic strip die
Tonic Merry Christmas sentiment die
Sue Wilson strip die
Hohoho die (unbranded)
Tonic Nuvo shimmer Powders
Brushos
Watercolour card
Create and Craft foil
Todo foiling machine
Gold and silver foil card
White shimmer card
Stampin Up bow from gift bag dies

My card base is UK A6 4 1/8 x 11 1/2 scored at 5 3/4.  Foil layer is 5 1/2 x 3 7/8 and background layer is 5 1/4 x 3 5/8.

I hope you like my creations.

Christmas Card Tutorial 2 Tues 8 Jan 19 Winter Woods Stampin Up

It's Christmas Yayy lol.

No I haven't lost my marbles or maybe I have I'm not sure anymore hehe.  Anyway I'm determined to make a Christmas card once a week this year so I get lots of use out of the stamps I got in 2018 and I'll have loads of Christmas Cards for the Charity Shop at Christmas.  I didn't get very many done in 2018 so they didn't get many so I'm determined to do better this year!  (I hope!!!)

So this is actually my 2nd Christmas Card as I made one in my previous project.  I've used Stampin Up Stamps and dies called "Winter Woods" which I have to say may be my favorite set from Christmas 2018.  My card base is a standard UK A6 size, it measures 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 scored at 4 1/8 to make a landscape tent card.

Items Used

White Card
Stampin Up Gray Granite card
Silver Embossing Powder
Stampin Up Winter Woods stamps and dies
Banner die from stash
Sentiment from Making Cards and Papercraft Magazine November 2018

Hope you like it and don't forget to check out the Youtube video.

Shaker Christmas cards Sat 8 Dec 18

Hi again all you lovely crafters, Today I've got another Christmas card that's a shaker card.  I've used background stamps, distress inks, Tonic dies, foil card and sequins to make the two cards shown.  I also like to stamps my envelopes with the Happy Mail stamp I rec'd in a magazine free.

I love how these turned out.  I had some inked backgrounds I wanted to use and I was trying to recreate a previous shaker card in a smaller size.  The card base is stamped and embossed then the ink layer put on top.  I created a frame with two rectangle dies.  I put in my sequins and after putting a double layer of foam tape on my frame I added it over the top.  The dies are cut 3 times in white and once in gold and layered and to finish I added a few gems.

I hope you like it

Wrapped mints and box for Christmas teacher gift Thur 6 Dec 2018

Hi again all you awesome crafters out there,

Jacqui back with another teacher Christmas gift idea.

This time I found a box of individually wrapped mints in B&M Bargains and new immediately what I'd make with them.  I've seen loads of projects on youtube where people have wrapped individual Hershey Nuggets (American I believe) and I'm in Northern Ireland.

So I wrapped them individually and made a matching box to hold 6 so I got 4 sets out of one box of mints.

Measurements in Inches

To wrap the individual mints the paper measures 1 1/2 x 3 1/4.
Box 8 1/4 x 3 3/4 score all sides at 1/2 and 1.
Box wrap 5 1/16 x 6 1/4 score both sides at 1/2 and 2 1/4
Paper layer for the box top 1 1/2 x 6
Add sentiment, bow and gems to decorate

Hope you like it

Shaped Christmas Shaker card Thur 22 Nov 18

Hi all my crazy crafting buddies

I have a cute Christmas card today.  It's made from some of the gifts I rec'd in a pocket letter swap from the lovely Sue Bishop of Sue Bees.

I took 2 flower shaped card bases from my stash.  I split one ih half and put acetate on it.  I then added foam tape to it.  I put some matching sequins in the centre of the other card base and lay the acetate piece over the top and pressed.

I added a holly stamped and cut out image to one side and put my Mr and Mrs Claus on top.  I added my black strip sentiment to finish.

It really was a quick easy card to make and has maximum impact.

Teacher Christmas gift box lip balm tutorial Sat 8 December 18

Hi again all you beautiful, crazy crafters,

Today I've got another quick teacher gift idea.  I saw this on the paper pixie youtube channel and adjusted it to fit my lip balm.  My youtube tutorial shows you how quick and easy it is to do this.

Measurements in inches

7 1/2 x 6 1/4
Score Long side at 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 5 1/4 and 7
Score Short side at 1 3/4 and 4 1/2

On the long side you need to score diagonally to both corners creating an X.  Then score from the centre of the top of the X down to the point where the X crosses over only.  Do this on all four squares.

Then burnish the X's are mountain fold and the small straight sections are valley folds.  Use an 1/8 inch hole punch to punch a hole on each side of the middle of the X.  Then glue and decorate.  I've used some gold twine an a Stampin Up tag from the Swirly snowflakes dies.  The paper is Stampin Up Broadway Bound Dsp.  The gold washi tape is from Poundland.

A little wild xmas card 1 tutorial using acetate and inking Tues 30 Oct 18

Hey there guys n gals,I've got a really cute Christmas card using a stamp set that isn't Christmas.  The stamp set is from Stampin Up and it's called A little wild.  It's really a tag stamp and die set which is perfect for cards where you're gonna see the back of the image.  The little woolly hats are a free stamp and die set from a mag a few years ago.  I'm so glad I kept it it's so useful at this time of year.
Anyway I made a basic A6 card only I used Hunkydory Snowfall acetate.  It's 8 1/4 xx 11 1/2 and scored at 5 3/4.  You need a section to ink a background that is 5 3/4 x 4 1/8 and another section for behind it that measures the same.  I used the snow drift die from Stampin Up Winter Woods stamp and dies set.  The snowflakes are from Stampin Up Blizzard die.  I used Stampin Up inks Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel.

Gift tag tutorial spinner, Halloween, Christmas Sat 13 Oct 18

Hi there again guys n gals,
Hope you're all have a wonderful, crazy crafting day.

Today I'm making some gift tags yippee.  This is a short and sweet blog post but check out my youtube post which is long and not boring (I hope) lol.

Anyway the gift tags I'm using were gifted to me in a Pocket Letter swap by the lovely Kerry Mason so I'm endeavouring to use as many of the gifts I rec'd as possible.  Because I rec'd so many gift tags I was able to make loads of spinner gift tags as you need two tags for each of these.  I also made a shaker tag and an action wobbler one.  I had so much fun yippee.

Check out my youtube video for full details.
