Hi everyone Jacqui here again with my DT inspiration for

challenge 66 which is up and running today!  So if you've time we'd love to have you.

I've used the image called 20 winks with border from Rick St Denis

HOW I DID IT

I coloured this with promarkers and it was so easy to do as I didn't have to use loads of colours (btw I love the little green caterpillar on the stones at the bottom sooooo cute lol). 
Then I added some clear wink of stella to her wings and on some of the border veins.
 I got some new card lately from the papermill and it had the perfect colour of blue to match her dress.
 I cut some out with an SB die which I cut it half and layered over each other to make a perfect base for my picture.
Then I added cosmic shimmer crystal glitter all around the edge of the die cut as i'm a bit of a blinger!
I had a play day a while ago with my cosmic shimmer glitter paste onto loads of different cards.  So I found a white on white piece that was perfect.
Then it was simply mat and layering onto some more blue and some pink.
My corner piece is also from the play day using a different glitter paste onto a corner stencil and cut out.
I found a great matching sentiment in my sentiment box and that was my finishing touch.

My oh my i've just seen the Bearly-Mine DT call.  Now wouldn't that be amazing!

I've entered one or two of their challenges and they're VERY popular!  I can understand why anyone would want to be part of this great DT as the papers are just dreamy, romantic, pretty, vintage, popular (and every other adjective I can think of like these)  with something in there for basically everyone and I love the mixed media ones. I use a lot of papers on my cards and even though I do like to stamp I still use papers on nearly all my projects and i'd love to get my hands on these.  As I don't work and have only grown up kids I have loads of time to play with all the lovely things. I also have experience as you can see from my blog.  Anyway i've sent off a little card and you never know but whoever gets the chance will be really lucky and I wish them well.

When I saw the scruffy little cat cd on C&C I knew I had to buy it as it was perfect!  And I got 2 stamps with it too that arn't on the cd so it was a great buy.

My daughter Lee-anne will be 27 on the 19th of May but on Wednesday she rocked in said she was going away for the weekend for her birthday and could I mind TJ my only grandchild.  Of course I said yes and it wasn't until l8r I realised I hadn't received my cd or made her cards yet (one from me one from her brother)!!  And I was doing my first card teaching gig on Wed night so hadn't time to do anything but STRESS lol.

When I got up on Thursday morning my cd had arrived with other goodies so I sat down and despite all the usual interruptions etc I made her 2 cards finishing about 8pm.

So take a look and see what you think knowing her I know they're perfect for her.

Ok guys gals and fb pals I'M BACK hehehe

I've been so hectic lately as I was asked to do some card making teaching on Wednesday night past and i've been stessing and making and stressing some more cos it was my FIRST time!!!

Anyway I survived they had a great time AND I got paid!! Get in there!! lol

But now i'm back to let you know about a challenge i'm doing GDT for.  Its called Anonymous and they supply you with the free stamps so all you have to do is colour, make, enter and enjoy.

Keep an eye out for my project at the end of May.

You know how when you look at something you that would look nice in such a way etc?  Well when I looked at this image thats exactly what I thought.  I imagined her in the trees and flowers and I had a paper with birds on and I thought she'd look lovely among the birds. Hah that'll teach me to think before I start lol. I imagined in in blues & greens so at least I got that bit right although I never thought about gold!

Anyway enough chit chat etc etc and onto business.  This is my 2nd piece for Craftitude with the awesome Fairy Tiffany from Milk and Coffee and as i'm not a great colourist she was pretty easy to do as i'm not a great colourist which meant it was fun.

What did I use and how did I do it (don't ask me I can't remember) only joking of course

15th May Stamping Dragon Designs Inspiration using Home Tweet Home kit

Hi guys gals and fb pals its Jacqui here with my monthly inspiration for you.  For this month I used the gorgeous "Home Tweet Home" kit as its sooo awesome. Full of pretty pinks, blues and grey's perfect for the current trends with its soft papers and birds.  For this card I went to town lol, but it still came together really quickly.  I printed out two of the mats in the "Home Tweet Home" kit and just one of the toppers.  I scored the second mat about an inch from the top folded it and stuck together to make the base.  Then I cut one of the toppers out with a SB die  and used some pink lipstick ink through the die and put it on a grey mat.  I took one of my stamps and some of the distress ink and stamped each corner to accent it.  I also decoupaged the centre flower and used some silver card candi.  I wanted to highlight the topper as much as possible so I lay one of my masks over my mat and put some flitter glu through then used some silver gilding flakes.  This is a great way to highlight something.  I also put the silver flake on my words too.  To finish I added a few gems around the topper as we all love bling.  So what do you think let me know.  Got any questions ask me you'll find all the details below.  Hope to see you on the fb page for fun and loyalty points.

Playing with my stamps

I was feeling slightly stressed when I made this card and it quickly dissolved it lol.  I had this Justrite stamp in my box for a while and this is the first time i've used it!  I have a couple more I need to christen too so fun to be had.  I'm going on holiday in August so i'm trying to save which means no more stash for a while (this is going to be so hard!!!).

This card came together so quickly and easily and I like the clean bright white edges for a change.

How I made it

Anyway on to my creation.  I am addicted to the colour purple its my most fav colour ever!!  So I had an ink i'd never tried before too so I just had a go to see what it looked like and I really love it.  This stamp was so easy to use and I had no problems trying to get a good image.  I love the richness of the colour so I decided to set it off with clean simple white.  I embossed the white with a Crafters Companion embossing folder and made 2 layers with it and the purple.  I used a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp and embossed it with a purple wow powder then cut it out with a SB die and cut a purple layer behind it.  I used purple and white card from the papermill and I cut 2 flourishes with a Tonic die.  I added purple flock ribbon from my stash with a flower shape & gem from my stash too.  Then used 3 mini SB flower die cuts with white half pearls in the centre and found a small lilac butterfly and added a pearl to it to finish off.  If you can let me know what you think i'd love to hear from you.

I've been seeing these boxes all over the tv and blogging sites lately so I decided to give in and have a go and I  must admit it was easy (except for deciding where & height of flowers lol).  I simply used 1 sheet of A4 card 300gsm to make it. I used it landscape 4 x 5cm panels and the 9ml over as the tab to stick together. I scored each section then folded the it all in half and scored except for one panel for the back as it doesn't need folded in half. Then I cut 3 scores to the centre plus the tab and cut off the top of the tab. You need to place two strips of card inside the box about 1cm wide near the top to attach the flowers to. I used acetate as stems on the flowers at different levels etc and stuck them on the inside panels.

 Then all I did was decorate with loads of flowers I cut out from the Spring Fling Kit.

2nd May Craftitude DT with Eureka Butterfly

My first DT piece for the Craftitude challenge with this wonderful Eureka image 

I made this card about 4am on the 24th April as I wasn't feeling great and couldn't sleep and crafting relaxes me. (Also Davids on nights and I hate sleeping alone lol).  This card is nothing like I planned it to be as usual but I like the end result anyway.  I printed my image on patterned paper and took my colour scheme from that.  The gold background was in my stash from a play day with glitter paste. I simply added some black and orange matting a sentiment, 2 flourishes and 2 ceramic flowers. So what do you think?

2nd May Challenge / Flowers Theme

Hi there guys gals and fb pals

Jacqui here with my challenge DT piece for May and what an awesome theme flowers!

I had a great time making this months piece even if it took me forever lol.  Hope you like it.

I used the Spring Fling papers and flowers for this cos they're so pretty.  And it was a perfect theme to have a go at the envelope boxes that are all the rage atm. I also used 1 sheet of A4 pearlescent card a Tonic & Tattered Lace die and some gems, butterflies and flourishes from my stash. I gave this to my granddaughter for Easter.
