4 compartment box youtube tutorial

Four compartment box for sweets or buttons etc etc

Hi there folks I'm back with my latest creation.  But first do you have snow???
I live in Northern Ireland and we havn't had this much snow since I was a child (a long time ago) lol. Anyway on to the project,

I got this idea from the lovely Jane Peters of Boro-ndi stamping   She made a larger one which measures 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.  I've resized mine completely and re-inforced the compartment bases and it measures 5 3/4 x 5 3/4.

This is the one I made to Janes measurements.

And here's the one I made to my measurements

All measurements in inches

Base Measurements

10 1/4 x 10 1/4
Score all sides at 1 1/4 and 2 1/2

Lid 9 7/8 x 9 7/8

Score all sides at 1 1/8 & 2 1/4

Compartments

4 pieces of 6 x 1 1/2
4 pieces of 4 x 1 1/2
4 pieces of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

On the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 sections you need to mark the bottom at 1 1/2 turn clockwise and mark at bottom again at 1.

For further help check out my youtube post which will be uploaded separately as I'm having problems uploading them to my posts.

Stampin up supplies used

Very Vanilla card
Petal Palette bundle of stamps and dies.
Springtime foils (free with a £45 order) during Sale a bration till end of March

You'll find Janes measurements on her youtube channel Boro-ndi stamping.

So that's it for todays post I'll be back soon

The Happy Crafters Design Team No 4 27th February 2018 using Garden girl

My Final DT project for the Happy Crafters

Hi again every one Jacqui here with my 4th and final :( project for The Happy Crafters Design Team.  When I started this DT month I was a bit worried as I can't see up close to colour due to cataracts, and the Garden girl stamp set is a great colouring set. But it taught me that colour doesn't have to come from colouring and that we should always play around and use our stamps ANY and EVERY way we can lol.

Anyway for my final project I made another card.  The card base, banner die and silver foil came from my stash.  The Stamp sets, paper and bling are all STAMPIN UP!

These are the Stampin Up supplies I used:

Garden Girl Stamp set              143952
Sweet Soiree Dsp                     145564
Enamel Shapes                        141680

#5 Touches of Texture Note Card youtube tutorial

#5 Touches of Texture series Note card

Hi folks Jacqui back with another project for you.

First off can I say a big thank you for stopping by my blog.  It is wonderful to be part of a crafting community as I know no other crafters from where I live!  And if you comment I promise I will endeavour to answer you asap.  As I'm knew to the Stamp Up world and the Youtube tutorial world I'm hoping you'll all forgive my mistakes and I will do my best to make my posts informative, interesting, pretty and not too long as time is something we don't have enough of!!

This is the final one in my Touches of Texture series for now.

For today's project  I've made a card.  I've used my Tonic stamp positioner to do two tone stamping.  I must say that it makes stamping soooooo much easier and especially if you're having problems with your hands.

Unfortunately Riley (the cat) did not make an appearance in this video lol.  He's curled up in bed fast asleep awww 💖

For this card I used Night of Navy and Melon Mambo with the stems in Emerald Green.

I've used a die from my stash for the first card and a sentiment from Petal Palette.

The second sample is Melon Mambo with Tempting Turquoise and Emerald Green stems.

The sentiment for this card is from the Sale a bration set Blossoming Basket which is free from Stamping up with a £45 order.  The dies for this card came from Petals and more Thinlets.

As I can't seem to add my video to my blog post I'm having to add it seperately after publishing it.

Anyway once again I'd like to thank you for stopping by and hope you'll call back soon.

Till next time Jacqui over and out.

Not just your average milk carton!!! Youtube tutorial

Not just your average milk carton!!!

Hi folks Jacqui back with another project for you I was in my local pound shop and I found these cute little Easter pegs and Easter Egg hunt eggs.  They inspired me to make some milk cartons in matching colours.

But I didn't want just an ordinary milk carton so I made an insert for it to hold the egg still.
I used loads of stuff from my stash to make some and then I did a completely Stampin Up one (below).

For this one I used the Springtime foils which are free with a £45 purchase in Stampin Up and this is the only way to get them atm.  My sentiment came from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments and I used the classic label punch.  The little chick is a die from my stash layered on some Gold foil and Very Vanilla.  The insert is Very Vanilla card too.  I used a 1 1/4 punch for the insert to hold the egg.

Box Measurements 8 1/2 x 5 3/4
Score LS 2, 4, 6 and 8
Score Portrait 2, 4 and 5 1/4

Insert 5 1/4 x 2 15/16
Score Portrait 1/2 each side
Score LS 1/2, 2 7/16, 2 15/16 and turn to opposite side and score at 1/2.

On underside of where you want to punch the hole draw an X from both diagonal corners as a guide of where to punch.

I'm having problems uploading my videos in the blog post so it's up separately.

Stampin Up Supplies Used

Just for fun day!!!

Hi folks Jacqui back with another project for you.  I was playing with my brushos and stencils and stamps and now I've made them into cards 😊😊😊.  I've used stuff from my stash and stuff from Stampin Up.

I really enjoyed getting messy and having fun but my fingers were yucky at the end of the day lol.

I'm not normally a blue girl but I think this blue, white and black one is my favourite.  And the cute little panda one of course!

Any I just popped in to show you what I've been playing with and I hope you like them and they generate some inspiration for you.

Touches of Texture series 2 Ferrero and Candle Pizza box

Hi again crafters Jacqui back again with No 2 In my Touches of Texture series.
For this one I used what was left of the Dsp we created last time and made a lovely Mothers Day box.

For the top box I used a bow die from Sue Wilson and the Sentiment is from We must Celebrate.  I used these inks, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide.  I also used some after eight sweets for this one and if you'd like the measurements please contact me.

The Goodies inside 😊

For this one I went totally Stampin Up and used the Sweet and Sassy Framelits for decoration.  The inks used in this Dsp are Powder Pink, Flirty Flaming and Berry Burst.  The decorative bits and Tag are from Swirly Snowflakes.  I don't think any gift is complete without some gems and a gift tag.

Stampin Up Touches of Texture Series Project 3 and Sunshine Wishes dies from Stampin Up

Hi Everyone

Jacqui back again with another tutorial for you.  For todays creation I made a top fold/tent card.  This was a pretty quick project but it's so pretty too.

For this project I used the stamp from Touches of Texture all over and then ran it through my ebosser in a free embossing folder.  I cut my flower from the inside of my layer of Glimmer Paper as it can be expensive and then put my stamped section over the top.  Once I added the flower from Sunshine Wishes dies I cut my word out 4 times in black with stick it on it.  I only meant to cut 3 in black and one in glimmer paper lol.  After layering them all on top of each other I put some Imagination Crafts glitter on the top.  It came out ok but next time I'd use the Glimmer Paper.

Card Dimensions

Black Card for base 11 1/2 x 4 1/8 scored at 5 3/4
Glimmer Paper layer 3 7/8 x 5 1/2
White stamping section 5 1/4 x 3 5/8

The Happy Crafters Design Team No 3 20 February 2018 using Garden Girl

The Happy Crafters DT project no 3 (1 more to go!) 20 February 2018

Hi there guys, gals and crafting pals Jacqui back again with my 3rd DT project for The Happy Crafters Design Team.  Today I made a stamped candle and matching bakers box.  Before I start I must say when I got this stamp set I nearly had a canary lol.  You see I have cataracts in the centre of both eyes so I can't see to colour and I totally wondered what the heck I was gonna make!!!  But with a little inspiration and some patience (patience is something I don't have much of lol!) i'm on my 3rd project without any problems.  Three down one to go :).

These are some of the goodies I used on this project.

First I got a piece of white tissue paper and embossed the image from the Garden Girl stamp set in gold.  My candle is about 2 3/4" by 2 3/4 by 3.  When stamping on candles you must make sure you're tissue is not as high as the candle as it needs to melt into it.  I cut mine at 1 1/2 high.  I used non-stick greaseproof baking paper to hold my tissue onto the candle making sure the waxy side was against the candle as it's what helps them meld together. Then I just held my heat gun all away the round the image making sure not to hold too long or you'll melt the candle!!!

Then I created a lovely baker box to hold my candle and stamped the same image round the base of it.  My card is 12 x 8 7/8 I then scored the landscape or long side at 2 7/8, 5 3/4, 8 5/8 and 11 1/2.  Then I turned it portrait or short side and scored at 2 7/8, 5 7/8 and 7 7/8. On the first section with your card in landscape you need to notch the centre on the first and third sections on the score line.  Then use a ruler and score tool to score from each notch to each corner of the sections.  I cut up the bottom sections and removed the score lines completely.   Then I stamped the same image from the candle onto the box in versamark and put gold embossing powder on it and heat set it with my heat gun.
And we're nearly there :) I then used a layering square to cut out a window on the section 2nd from the right.  I used a piece of fabulous foil on the inside with some red liner tape to hold it in.  The foil was roughly 2 7/8 square.  I then glued the sides and bottom to finish the box

I really think a gift isn't finished without a tag so of course I used the tag topper punch to create a tag..  This was 2 x 3 1/2".  I cut a piece of scrap white card to 1 3/4 by 2 1/2 and used a decorative punch on it before stamping with a sentiment from "A good day" stamp set in gold.  I finished it off with some sticky sequins and added it to the box with some 1/8 inch gold ribbon and closed the box with a gold bulldog clip.

Here's a list of the supplies I used:

Green card                                  #145407
Embossing powder                     #109129
Tag topper punch                        #133324
Layering squares                        #141708
Fabulous foil:                               #141653
Garden girl stamp set                  #143592
Gold binder clips                         #141673

I hope you like my project and it gives you some inspiration

Touches of Texture double stamp set Series Project 1

THi there everyone Jacqui here with another tutorial for you.  This project is the first in my series featuring Stampin Up Touches of Texture double stamp set.  This set is amazing and so versatile my mind was buzzing with ideas last night in bed (I know I should be sleeping lol but I'm not much of a sleeper).

Anyway onto the project.  For the first 2 projects I created my own A4 dsp sheet.  I stamped the solid flower stamp all over the A4 piece of white card and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then for my prototype I used Stampin Up ink Lemon Lime Twist, Evergreen Envy and Tranquil Tide and for the second one I used 3 shades of pink from lightest to darkest, Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo & Berry Burst then I went over all of it again with the lightest, Powder Pink to blend it all together.

My next step was to add the heart with the word lovely in it.  This comes from the lovely words thinlets and I layered it onto a heart from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits.  Then I added a banner that came from my stash which I scanned it into my brother scan and cut and cut out a green background for it.  There are two more of the banners but the next size was just too big for my card.  This look can be achieved with the banner punch from Stampin Up.  I added a small decorative pennant banner from my stash and to finish I added Stampin Up Enamel hearts on the green and Sticky sequins in Lemon and Lime twist on the pink and I added some tiny pink gems from my stash on the pink.

For inside my card I used the Stampin Up set Lovely inside and out and layered it onto the same green card.

Anyway I do hope you like my projects and please stop by for more.  If you'd like any products or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me via my blog, facebook or youtube and I will contact you asap.

If you watch my tutorials don't forget to thumbs up as it really means a lot and I get a sense of what you'd like to see.

Till next time

Tutorial 5 Sweetie box using Stampin Up Rainbow builder Framelits from Stampin Up

Hi again crafters Jacqui back with another tutorial.  Today I'm oing my final Rainbow Builder Framelits project.  This box is from Sam at Mixed Up craft and when I saw it I thought omw that would be a perfect baby gift box with the Rainbow dies.  So here you have it.

The blue one is my prototype and I only meant to have blue and pink but when I was filming the pink one I messed up AGAIN!!!  So I had to go create a third,

I decided to try something completely different and see if it would work.  So I went with cream and gold as I used Stampin Ups Bundle of love papers and they had a pink side, a blue side and then the gold and cream on the other side.  I actually quite liked the result and I'd love you to tell me what you think.

Anyway onto the instructions.  You need a piece of 12 x 12 paper and you score one side at 3 1/2 and 8 1/2.  Turn and score the next side at 1 7/8, 5 7/8, 7 3/4 and 11 3/4.  The two sections that have the most score lines are the sides and you need to cut down all these score lines to the first score.  Then turn to inside of box and take a pencil and ruler and lightly score from corner to corner to create an X.  You then need to cut the sweetie shape.  Start on the score line you've just created from outside edge of each square section but don't keep to it as you need a section to hold the box together and if you follow the score you'll cut the ends off.  About  1/4 inch on each side of the centre of cross is roughly what you're aiming for this is the bit you wrap the ribbon round.

For the decoration I took some cream card or white card and used the cloud dies from the Rainbow Builder Framelits and cut two sections larger than I needed, I then placed on the box at req'd height and marked where I wanted to cut off.  For the first two boxes I embossed the cloud layers with a swirly pattern and went round the edges with some Tumbled glass ink.   I cut coloured rainbows for the first two boxes and different shades of gold for the last and placed them where I wanted between the two cloud layers.  I then added the sun and small cloud.  To finish it off I stamped the sentiment from the co-ordinating Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp set in gold embossing powder and layered it onto some gold card.  I used the two new scalloped Stampin Up punches for the sentiment and layer which measure 1 1/8 and 1 3/8.

That's my project finished and I hope you like and will let me know.

Till next time

Jacqui over and out. xx

Tutorial 4 Stampin up Stash up using Rainbow builder dies etc

Hi there guys and gals Jacqui back with tutorial no 4!  I think I'm getting the hang of it, yay lol!  Anyway I've done another stash up which means I've used Stampin up and my stash to create this project..  I think it's pretty useful to show you how to get more mileage out of something.  And we can't afford everything all the time so I hope this shows you how to use what you have in your stash with Stampin up purchases.

The pink card is my prototype and the blue one is the tutorial I got half way through yesterday before I made a massive boo boo lol.  So todays tutorial is yet another version and it's green and would be great for a babys birthday so this will be card no 4 I've made with the Rainbow builder Thinlets so I hope I've given you a few ideas.  I think the next time I use it will be on a box as I have a gift idea for a baby in mind.

But onto the project itself.

All measurements are in inches.  My card base is 5 3/4 x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/8.  The next layer is green glimmer paper from Stampin Up Myths and Magic 3 7/8 x 5 1/2.  And the white layer is 3 5/8 x 5 1/4.  I used the Rainbow builder cloud dies on two bits of white card and I ran them through a second time to make them longer.  I then embossed them and the white layer with a swirly embossing folder just to give them definition.  I then used Tumbled glass distress ink around all the edges.  I lay the clouds across the white layer to decide where I wanted them to sit then I turned them over and cut them down to the white layer size.  This meant I still had a green glimmer paper border all the way round.  I used foam tape to add them to the layer and then stuck it to the glimmer paper.  I cut the rainbow out in four shades of green and turned them over to position them, then I put sticky tape on the back to hold them together.  After that I put foam tape on and positioned it where I wanted it go.  The sun die came from an old sizzix die set.  I cut the small cloud from the Rainbow builder set in white glimmer paper and added it.  The celebrate die comes as a free set which you can choose if you spend £90 in Stampin Ups Sale a bration promotion.  These are the Celebrate you thinlets.  I cut the word out twice in white and once in green glimmer paper and layered them on top of each other.  And that's my 4th project tutorial complete.  I do hope you love it and would love you to subscribe to my channel JMC Creates on youtube
