Digi stamps 4 Joy April Card

My April Christmas Card for Digi stamps 4 joy

What a drama I had with this card lol.  I ran out of my white card and the new one I tried was terrible when I tried to colour it!  The ink bled all over it!!  Then I ordered some more different card and it's awesome great quality and vivid colours but it won't go through my printer!!!  What a nightmare and it clearly states 250gsm and all other 250's go through no problem!!  So I emailed the supplier and they're being really helpful.  I thought I wasn't getting this months card done in time, I ordered some more of my usual card but it won't arrive till Friday!  Then today I remembered I had some A5 card somewhere so I searched it out and finally got my image printed.

How I made it

I've coloured it with promarkers
Used a spellbinder die
Papermania Christmas pad
Snowflakes from my stash
Crafters Companion snowflake die
Tag & die from stash
Gems from stash
Memory Box Precious snowflake die

Entered into challenges

MTTC GD Challenge April Showers

This is my last piece for MTTC and i've really enjoyed working as  their Guest Designer for the Challenge Blog.  I found the perfect image for this Challenge from Stamping Dragon its one of their new stamps in the Dragon range called March Winds and comes as a pre coloured image or Line Art. I decided on soft blues and purples and coloured it with promarkers. I cut it out with a Tonic Die and used some distress ink to highlight it while in the die. I used some scraps in lilacs with the distress ink round the edge and put them behind my topper which I layered onto lilac and offset. I found a cloud paper in my stash and layered it onto lilac too.  I used a lovely purple glitter ribbon in a bow with a sentiment, a ceramic flower and a Tonic flourish behind it.  On one side I used a white die cut with a large gold embellishment and a lilac ceramic flower.  Then I used a Tonic heart sentiment die cut with another lilac flower to finish. And there you have it my final piece for My Time To Craft Challenge Blog.  Remember as long as you follow the theme you can use whatever you want so pop over for a visit they'd love to see you.  Till next time cya l8r from Jacqui xx

MTTC GD Challenge Up up and away

My third project for MTTC Challenge Blog.  For this I used the awesome New Kit from Stamping Dragon Designs called Home Tweet Home. This kit is Awesome and I havn't been able to stop using it! Its full of soft pinks, greys, and blues. With pretty papers, toppers, flowers etc even feathers that look so real when cut. This is my first full digital kit i've purchased and i'm so glad I did as it works so well especially atm as birds, pinks and blues are soooo current!! Anyway enough about that lol get on with your work Jacqui (hanging my head while continuing to type lol). So I simply printed and cut out a topper with an SB die leaving a white border round it for emphasis. Then on to the pretties :) hehe. I'm into black atm which i'm sure you can tell lol. So I put one paper onto black then an 8x8 card. My black flower background is once again the result of a play day with masks and glitter pastes. Its soooooooo much fun you really should try it. I put it on some pink card this time and then put my topper on.  Then it was up up and away with the embellishements (ok so i'm a little looney or a lot depending whom you're talking too!!). I put a doily on two corners then cut 2 feathers out and placed them on the bottom one. I also used some joined hearts from Stamping Dragon Designs printed onto a patterned pink paper, with a large ceramic flower on top. Using a la la land banner die I cut a pink one and put it on my top corner with a mini pink ceramic flower on each side to finish.  I certainly think I fulfilled the brief do you? Can't wait to hear from you till next time cya l8r from Jacqui xx

Less is More

Less is more

I made this card for fun when I was doing a Less is More Challenge Card.  I've been doing Clean and Simple for my DT and just wanted to do some more.  I do like to embellish cards a lot but I also like the way things stand out so much more when you do clean and simple.  This is a 5x5 card with a blue background then some white pearl card embossed with a frame and the corners cut out. I used the dekromount word and coloured it with a promarker.  The flourish is cut in the same blue on my cameo.  And the final touch is a 2 layer blue & silver flower.

Why not stop by the Less is more challenge and see what you can come up with!

Till next time have fun crafting xx

Besties anything goes challenge

BESTIES ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE

I've had this image in my topper box for a while now.  I bought a few of Sherris digis and coloured them with promarkers during illness.  I like this image because it's fun and different and I remember my mom with pink curlers in her hair when we were kids.  I thought it was high time I did something with it and the anything goes challenge is perfect for it.

Stop by and check out the images and challenge there is definitely something for everyone.

Anonymous Challenge

Anonymous Easter Challenge

I made this lovely card for the Anonymous Challenge as they give you some gorgeous free images to work with.

Stop by and give them a look its worth it.

 http://anonymousstamps.blogspot.co.uk/

I've used their daffodils in teapot as I love daffodils and tea so perfect lol especially for spring.  I coloured it with promarkers.

I used a 5x5 card for this as i'm used to big cards but i'm trying to challenge myself atm!

I have some lovely teacups and teapots paper in my stash so I used it with a yellow frame cut with my cameo.
Then a lovely pink border and some different flowers from my stash with gems as centres.
Quick and beautiful

Easter Rabbit

A pretty Easter card using brown & yellow. I did this pretty Easter Card yesterday and I really love how it turned out.  I'm never sure when I start a card just how it will finish even though I tend to have lots of elements prepared!  When I get scraps of card and i have my ebosser i'll just use them with flower dies and keep them in a box.  I already had the Just to say cut too and in my sentiment box and the rabbit I cut out last week with some other Easter images when I was making cards for the grandkids. So basically it was all there I just picked the image, sentiments and colour tones and found matching items.  I'm going to enter this card in a few challenges:

Stamping Dragon Designs April Inspiration Using Think Spring Kit

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=498_523&products_id=2898

Hi all this is my April Inspiration for the Dragons Den. This kit is called Think Spring but its perfect for Easter especially for little boy Easter Cards!  And I've popped together a quick card but something a little bit different for a change. Just to spice things up lol.  I've used a 6x6 card base scored and folded the front in half then added a piece of acetate behind the top.  Although I havn't actually used the backing papers with this kit (spicing things up again lol) I have used them on other Easter cards so keep a look out. I used one A4 backing paper and matted the back and front with yellow card.  I cut my topper with the Tonic nesting scallop dies and then used the next size to add some blue as my mat. I found and Easter sentiment (the wrong colour) so I inked it blue and also a key decoration.  I added another fun hello sentiment and 2 lemon die cut corners (Tonic again).  So quick and pretty hope you like i'd love if you let me know see you soon xx

MTTC Guest Designer for April Challenge All at Sea

A nice bright cheery card which was so much fun to make. I used an Anonymous free digi stamp. I found these lovely free stamps by accident one day (you know when you're meant to be working but are surfing instead lol). As i'm not the best colourist this was an easy one for me to do lol. I coloured it with promarkers and used a Tonic die to cut it out. I picked some pretty papers from my stash and off I went.  I used a pale blue card for my mats and put my main paper on the back one. I offset a strip of spotty paper down the side on my blue mat then used more Tonic dies to cut the large circle ones. I had som white swirly die cuts in my stash and added them just to highlight the main topper. I printed off some sea sentiments and cut a couple of fish out and put glossy accents on them. I even stuck two dolphins on from my box of dissected jewelry bits. Oh and a mini shell too. So what do you think? Let me know i'd love to hear from you.  Till next time cya l8r. Jacqui xx

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge "Things with wings"

Hi there guys, gals and fb pals yesterday I felt like doing something different so I picked up a whoopsi daisy image I got last week and decided to do their challenge "Things with wings". I used lovely greens, pinks and black.  Let me know what you think

http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.com.au/

How I made it

When I picked up my image and saw the colours I knew I had the perfect background for it in my stash. I'd had a play day with masks and glitter pastes and I'd used pink and green onto black card (just to see what it looked like of course lol). Then I just keep them and use them when they fit.  I looked through my card and found this green one which is so textured when you feel it and I love texture in my cards. I used a small part behind my image and a large part for a mat which I layered onto pink. I used an 8x8 base and after putting all the layers together I just had to embellish.  This part actually takes the longest for me as i'm a bit of a perfectionist!  I cut some pink and white dandelions with a tattered lace die and some green leaves with a spellbinder die.  Then I layered them on the corner and put a couple of flowers from my stash on top.  I added some gems on the flowers, in her head, her wings and necklace and a flower gem in the corner to finish if you like i'd love to hear it. Thanks for stopping by xx

Clean and Simple Turquoise Challenge

Hi all lately i've been trying to challenge myself by doing different things.  One of the challenges lately in my DT was Clean and Simple and my partner laughed at me when I told him what I had to do!  He said "do they know you" lol.  So when I finished my project I decided to have another go and looked up the Less is More Challenge and the theme is turquoise so I had a go.  This is the project I made for it. Hope you like it (I have to admit it wasn't easy lol it just seemed to be finished too quickly which made me think I hadn't done it right!

http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/

How I made it

The background is a mask which I put red and blue glitterpaste through. (I actually had it in my stash from a glitter paste play day)
I used a 5 3/4 card base and wrapped some cream lace and red organza round it
The red leaves is a flower from my stash cut up.
I punched a small circle coloured it with red distress ink and stamped the sentiment in stazon
The base for this was in my sentiment stash and that's it all done!!

Spring Challenge

Spring is in the air (I hope)

Dawn Hill decoupage download

This is the first time i've ever used something by Dawn Hill!  I found it on Craftsuprint when I was searching for images for Easter Cards.  I think its really pretty especially when I teamed it up with my stash. Who wouldn't be happy to receive such a bright cheerful card (well maybe a boy wouldn't lol) but my granddaughter will. I'm entering it into these challenges here's hoping for a win!!

Step by Step (if you want to know what I did then read on)

I printed the sheet cut it out and decoupaged it.  I also cut the background down quite a bit as I love to use texture in my cards. I used some cosmic shimmer glitter paste through a mask onto acetate and set my topper in the middle of it. I used an 8x8 card base with a red mat and yellow spotty layer on top. I put some red glittery ribbon across before sticking it down. Then I added my top layers and a small yellow bow with a red gem on the side of the image with a sentiment.  I put a red flower in each corner and a yellow and white one on the bottom corners of the image. I also put a black gem ribbon slider on her hat with a red gem in the middle to finish and I love it.

I hope you do too if you do i'd love to hear from you.

MTTC Guest Design Team Wildlife

My daughter is a big cat fanatic especially tigers so when I saw this Sweetpea stamp on sale I knew it would be perfect for her.  To be honest i'd had a playday cos i'd bought a few stamps in the sale so of course I had to test them out lol so I have a stash of different ones done.  I stamped and embossed it in clear onto photo card by accident which meant I couldn't colour it but when I saw it I just loved the bold outline and contrast so I did my FIRST monotone (can you believe it i've never done a mono before!!!)  So once again another quick card yay go me. I simply matted the image onto some black card for my top layer. My base layer is a paper I had in my stash matted onto black with some black and white ribbon vertically down the left side. Then I made an awesome large bow and put  a massive gem on it, way to go bling!!  My 2nd layer is the result of a mask with black glitter paste through it (I do loooooooove my texture) and once again matted onto black. Its really hard to see but i've put some arched bling down the right side as well just to finish it off.

So I hope you like my first challenge card and come play along at MTTC challenge (where you can use anything as long as it fits the theme). Till next time cya later xxx Jacqui

Stamping Dragon Designs Challenge DT Spring Time Theme

This is the first card I made for the Design Team for the April Challenge Spring Time.  I used a few different SDD products for it.  The back ground paper and the large flowers are from the New "Home Tweet Home" kit (I also shrank some of the pink birds to sit on the topper lol) the corners are from the "Age of Innocence" kit and the topper is "A friend is Quote". When I finished this card I wasn't 100% happy with it as I felt the topper didn't stand out from the background enough!! So I made another one!  You can also see this one below.  So take a look and let me know what you think.

This card came together pretty quickly as i had most of the elements already printed, coloured or made.  The topper is what dictated the colour scheme as you can tell.  The second layer is a Stamps Away mask with a purple distress ink from a play day. The bottom layer is A crafters companion paper. Then just add ribbon and gems.  Now if only they'd all work out so easily lol. Till next time crafters have fun
