Spring is in the air

A lovely bright cheerful spring card made with pink and mint green so pretty and soft and feminine.  Makes me smile looking at it.  I made this card for the Challenges and Candies Challenge.  I havn't been entering too many challenges (and have never won a prize yet lol) but I loved being able to make a pretty spring card which is why I entered.  I had the decoupage topper in my topper box and it was perfect for this so I used a tonic punch and cut out a white pearl frame.  I used a mat from the Home Tweet Home range at Stamping Dragon Designs.  I embossed the mat with an embossalicious frame folder and used some ink on it. I cut out my corners with another Tonic die and added them to my mat.  I picked some pink embossed card from my stash and some mint green and used these as my layers.  I have some different mesh in my stash and used a piece of pink on the bottom of the card with pink organza ribbon over it.  I added some glitter to the flowers and made a bow from the same pink ribbon.  I used some pink white and green flowers coming out from the bow with a die cut white on top of the ribbon and a pink half pearl to finish. This is a pretty spring card and i'd love to hear what you think.  Thanks for stopping by

Blue and white Christmas Card

A fast simple but elegant card. I have to say that this is not my normal type of card but I LOVE this. I had no idea what i was going to make except that it had to be blue, white and Christmas.  I started with a 5 and 3/4 base card and went hunting through my stash. I found an awesome blue snowflake (which was actually a tree decoration lol) and decided to use it.  Then i covered my base in embossed white pearl card and put my snowflake in the centre with pinflair of course (nothing else would hold it!).  I found some blue mirror card and cut out a frame.  Then from my stash i got a white die cut and cut a blue snowflake with the CC snowflake die  and layered these onto my large snowflake with a white half pearl in the centre.  I found a matching sentiment and finished it with two white corners. I hope you like it as much as I do!  Let me know plz

The East Wind Blog Challenge No 1

I made this awesome card with the beautiful Aurora freebie I got I kinda went oriental (just by accident lol) but it works I think.  They have some awesome stamps that are totally unique so pop by and see you can also join the facebook page and have a chat, a laugh and join in the challenge.

I coloured my image in red and black and gave her blonde hair. I cut her out with an SB die and layered it onto red.  In my stash I already had the flower background which is made from a stencil medium with mica beads added (for more texture) and put through a mask.  I matted this onto some red then yellow paper. Then I punched down each side with a Tonic punch and used a different Tonic punch on the yellow.  After that I simply added a sentiment, some red gems, a yellow organza bow with a gem on top, some flourishes and 2 yellow butterflies (all from my stash).  Unfortunately I forgot to post this till it was too late so better luch next time lol.  I hope you like let me know xxx

Simple and pretty all you need really.

Stamping Dragon Challenge Card Feb/March "In the kitchen"

Stamping Dragon Challenge Card for end of February start of March 2014, theme "In the kitchen".  I decided to do something a bit different for this one so I went rooting through my stash to see what I could find lol.  It did take me quite a while but it was fun to look through the boxes of toppers, papers etc (stuff we all have lol).  Anyway I found some items from Dawn Bibbys Best of British which I thought would be perfect then I teamed them up with papers and a frame from the Rustic Collection at Stamping Dragon Designs.  And once i'd finally decided what to use (took a lot of looking lol) it was plain sailing.  I put the topper on some white card behind the frame, used some toning blue papers and the rustic ones for layers.  I used a Tonic punch for some detail on a piece of border paper.  I added the teapot, cup and cake bits and a few black beads and blue gems to finish.  I really like this card because its different and I hope you do too.  You know the drill let me know plz till next time xx

SDD Remembrance Border 24th February

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=711_694&products_id=3345

Hi there everyone

Jacqui's back with a blog post of her Stamping Dragon Designs FB DT for 24th February.  I'm using the Thank God quote border this time and as you can see it's pretty awesome.  Its so hard to make sympathy cards that actually mean something to someone and I think this fits the bill. But this also fits the scrapbook side of things well as its a remembrance border. It's really quick and easy to put together a card with this you just need to cut out and embellish!  I used a trellis feature on top of pink card with the border down the side and I cut out some flowers and leaves with a SB die for Heartfelt Creations then added some pink gems and it was done!

Let me know what you think. Till next time xx

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=695_696

Another awesome card made using the NEW bundle HOME TWEET HOME from SDD.  I made this card using 1 6x6 piece of patterned paper, 1 topper, and another of the plain papers in grey cut out with a die. Oh and I used a small piece of the paper round my sentiment. So quick easy but effective. I'd be happy to receive a card like this. I just used my dies to cut out the topper and grey paper and added a few gems. And I havn't really started using my bundle yet. I would recommend this bundle to everyone. Elaine's Fun Challenge - Babys 1st Christmas

So I really love making Christmas Cards so I try to do Elaines Challenge as often as possible.  So today i made a quick card to enter in the latest one.

I picked a suitable topper then found a 5x7 card base with a blue front that matched my topper.  I cut 2 different size of baubles with an SB die in orange glitter card to match my penguins feet and noses lol. I put my topper on the largest bauble put the other bauble beside it.  Then I cut my sentiment out in blue in another bauble and put it on the orange one, I inked through the die to add interest.  I found some baby penguins and put one with my topper and one on my sentiment.  And added the dekromount word joy in the corner to finish.  So a pretty little card ready for Christmas.

I am entering this card in http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/

Stamping Dragon Designs 14th Feb Quackers over you

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_405&products_id=1245

This was a really fun project to work on a lighthearted approach to the valentine theme. I cut my duchs out with a tonic die after colouring them in with pro markers. Then I went to town with the tonic dies i'm afraid lol and ended up with blue, pink, purple, rust, gold and light blue hearts.  I then used a blue and yellow base to lay them all on with my image on foam pads in the centre. And finally I shrunk my duckies lol. I prnted them on shrink plastic coloured them blue and pink with pro markers shrunk them and they were my final fun element. Please let me know what you think.  Remember our FB page is a fun friendly place for tips, challenges, fun, and loyalty points (£3 in store for every 50) and we give you lots of chances to join in. Stamping Dragon Love Notes Mini Theme 7th Feb

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=498_522&products_id=2202

I made my first ever mini album page with this kit and its awesome if I say so myself lol. I used the paper for the base and cut another set of hearts out for the other side. I blew up the brad and cut it out with an SB die for a frame. I cut my grandsons pic out with a Tonic heart die and used another Tonic die for the black base behind it. Then i put it on the red frame.  I used some red stick on hearts from my stash with some gold cut with a die at the top. The words with love from the heart came with the sticker hearts. And then I added a few teddies to finish. So this is my beginning into "Scrap Booking" lol even though i've kept scrap books and memory books all my life.  I just get to decorate more now.  Sometimes when you go to a website it can be daunting trying to find what you need.  That's why we have our fb page https://www.facebook.com/groups/427447597324391/ it supplies loads of pick of the days so show the variety you can purchase. Desire Fourie February 2014

http://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/monthly-christmas-challenge-february.html

My entry for the Desire Fourie (Doing Life) Challenge February 2014.  I used the image provided and coloured it in with promarkers. I decided on a contemporary finish this time so coloured her in pinks. I used a centura pearl a4 base folded in half. I cut her out with a SB circle die (sorry no idea what it is but i think its a gold) then inked through the die with pink distress ink and layered her onto black which i cut with my ek success circle scissor.  My background is a justrite stamp on black with versamark and white embossing powder. I cut it out with Tonic scalloped square layering dies and then cut the next size in pink to mat it.  I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch on some deep pink creata mirror card and put another strip of the embossed background down the middle. Using my ek success scissor circle i cut out a stamped sentiment and pink mat. Then I used my Crafters Companion and Marianne snowflake dies to cut snowflakes in black white and pink and added black and pink gems to finish them. Even though I like traditional christmas cards I really love this look too so you should never be afraid to try something new. Plz let me know what you think. Love from Jacqui xx

Love is in the Air Dragons Den Challenge

Hi there guys gals and fb pals i'm back again lol. This time i have a small card i made for the Stamping Dragon Challenge  http://stampingwithdragon.blogspot.co.uk/

As my niece is getting married on February 15th 2014 I made this card with her in mind.  I'm trying to use up different card sizes as I always use an 8x8 and its good to get out of a rut so this is about 5.5 x 5.5.  I used the pre coloured floral heart from the Dragons Lair Designs  http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_405&products_id=2346 then i used a versamark pen and some gold powder on the design. I used some glue and glitter round the edge. The background is a mask on cream card with gold glitter paste then layered on to red card. I used some red and gold ribbon and some gold gems for my border. I made a bow and used a gold flower embellishement on top with a gem in the middle. I used a red heart on a wire coming from the bow, a red bow on the heart and added a just married sentiment on cream card and embossed red. Let me know what you think thanks.

Sarah-Jades birthday card

Hi there guys gals and fb pals.

I'm sharing the birthday card I made for my daughter SJ's birthday card.  My daughter is one of those kids who are different, she's not into pretty or what is generally known as fashion so making her a card is quite tricky. So I bought this heartfelt creations stamp to make her a card with. And this is the finished result which I do love love love!!

I started with kraft card on the background and used a mask and some texture paste in the corners. While it was drying I stamped my image onto kraft card then stamped embossed and cut out some more flowers to layer over the image. I had some cogs etc in my stash and i coloured them black. I used black card for all my mats. I wanted something to break up the middle so I searched my stash and found the glitter card. It's the perfect colour not gold more bronze?  Any way i layered it onto black and put it down the middle of my background piece. I then wrapped some twine and black organza ribbon round them both. I tore round the edge of my topper and used some frayed burlap ink on it.  I set my topper on at an angle, cut some more flowers from the glitter card and built them all up, then added some cogs and black gems to finish and the result was awesome. My first ever card like this and she LOVED it so a result all round. Let me know what you think plz. Love Jacqui

Elaine's Christmas Fun

Hi again everyone this is just a quick post with a cute christmas card i did just for Elaine's Christmas Fun Challenge ending 14th Feb 2014. http://laineyscraftyspace-christmasfun.blogspot.co.uk/  I love making christmas cards and i was a bit stressed during the week and this calmed me down and made me smile. I hope you like it. I had all the stuff in my stash and just put them together! I have no idea where the topper came from I think its from crafts u print so i just cut it out and decoupaged it. I layered it onto some black card with some blue vellum behind which I had embossed. Then onto some more black card that had a double side adhesive on it and some cosmic shimmer sprinkles. This makes it really shine and sparkle and gives the impression of a starry night and I added some snowflakes as well. I used a 5x5 card base in cream with some more of the vellum on it and added a doily in the corner that i coloured with inks. A sentiment at the bottom and it was finished. One less to do at Christmas lol. Take care and keep crafting.

Love Jacqui

Stamping Dragon Challenge Winter Blues

Hi guys, gals and fb pals just a quick blog to show you my card for the Stamping Dragon Challenge "Winter Blues" http://stampingwithdragon.blogspot.co.uk/.  I'm generally not very good at quick cards but i managed it today cos i had all the elements in my stash. I used the Uncle Perry digi stamp http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_407&products_id=1333 and he worked perfectly as he was already coloured blue! So I picked up a 5x7card (i'm trying to use different sizes as I keep using 8x8) then I cut my digi out with an SB label die and inked through the die in blue. I found a pre cut frame and insert in my stash in blue mirror card. I stuck the frame to the card and then put the inside section on foam pads with a blue checked paper ribbon in the middle to break it up. Then i put my topper on this on foam pads I added a sentiment at the bottom and four white corners. Finally I added some blue gems, blue flowers and white gems on top to finish I hope you like and plz let me know.
