Stamping Dragon Designs FB DT Inspiration piece for Jan 31st 2014

Hello again guys gals and FB pals. I've got another project for you from my Design Team on Facebook for Stamping Dragon Designs and i LOVE it lol. This time I used the Birthday Tickets as my centre image. http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=529&products_id=1543 I printed them off on yellow card as celebrations should be bright and cheerful and from there i just kept going lol. I found a gorgeous bright Graphic 45 paper and i layered it onto some yellow and black card but because i wanted my yellow to stand out i put an adhesive sheet over my main paper and then some clear micro beads, just to tone it down slightly and give me some texture too. I put the same card behind my ticket too. Then i found the gorgeous image already coloured in my stash and voila a bright cheerful and quick card guaranteed to cheer you up.

Stamping Dragon Designs FB DT Inspiration piece with New Home Card Kit and Insert

Hi there all you bloggers hope you're all doing well and crafting plenty. This is my Facebook Design Team Inspiration piece made for Stamping Dragon Designs using the New Home and Insert Kit found here http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=644_610_629&products_id=3017
I cut and layered my image first then chose my colours from it which made it really easy to put together. I already had the gold and white background piece from a play day with glitter paste and masks (which I love). I layered this onto some orange pearlescent card, I used a tonic loopy lace punch down both sides of green mirror card, then used another one (sorry can't remember name) on some more orange pearl card. I put my sentiment at the top and cut 3 banner strips in gold, green and orange coming below it. I used a mum sentiment under it then. I layered my image on some gold and green mirror card and placed an orange flower in the corner. Finally I added 3 ceramic orange flowers above and below. And my sample is complete I hope you like it and let me know if you do plz. Don't forget to visit our fb page for chat, fun and loyalty points for vouchers for the shop we also have a challenge blog and the Dragons Den blog for fun and inspiration too details below:

This image came from Digi Stamps for Joy they provide you with and image for there monthly Christmas Challenge and wait to see what you provide. I coloured mine with promarkers and cut it out with an SB die. I put it on foam pads onto an oval shape that came from my stash. I then used a green holographic backing card onto an A5 card and then a generic piece of xmas card on top of that. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch in green and a Tonic punch in red to create a border. I used a sentiment and some holly from my stash to finish.

Fitztown Challenge No 19 Recipe

Hi all hope you're all fit and well and ready for a new year full of crafting fun.  Over the Christmas period I actually did some more Christmas Cards lol. Well it was the time of the year and i was in the mood he he. Well anyway enough of that my second card for fitztown was with the fae 3 image and for the Recipe Challenge which was 2papers, ribbon, 2 flowers and 2 buttons. I coloured the fae 3 with promarkers. The card is 8x8 and all layers are matted onto Kraft Card. The first layer at the back is a paper from my stash, then the other two layers are done with my gelli plate and acryllic paints. I edged all the papers with old paper distress ink. I found the ribbon in my stash but had to go searching through my rubbish drawer for the buttons lol. I think I may be the only paper crafter who doesn't use buttons!  I cut the flowers out from pink pearlescent card with a SB die and put a blue gem in the middle of each to finish.

I have to say when I saw this image I fell in love with it and rushed off to make something with it. It was only when it was done I though to check the challenge details lol.  It was obviously, absolutely nothing like the challenge requirements so I had to start over and the result as you can see is above.  Thought you might like to see the first card i did anyway so its below, let me know what you think of both of them.  I again used promarkers but did 2 images so i could de coupage some of the flowers then i cut it out with a SB label die. I used an 8x8 card base and found the yellow flower paper in my stash (which we all have a lot of lol) then i backed it onto black card. I took a strip of red and 1 of black card and and used the tonic punch down the sides then layered them on and I did the same with another piece of the flower paper. I used another SB die to make a black mat for my image.  Then i found a sentiment and put a layer of purple glitter round it and added it to card with some purple felt and yellow rose flower embellishments and a red twig with a few others too.
Let me know what you all think which one is your favourite?

Fitztown project No 1

Hi everyone Jacqui here with my first post for Fitztown.

For my frst project on the blog i'm usng the image le 5 the last enchanters le kids by ariane soares  http://www.fitztown.com/the-last-enchanter.html  This is the first image i've used from Fitztown and i'm totally loving them and can't wait to get my next one. I coloured this with promarkers then cut it out with a Tonic die (loopy lace).  For the background I used a justrite stamp and versamark on black card with a cosmic shimmer lustre embossing powder. Kraft card is my new favourite toy at the minute so I embossed a piece for my mat with another embossed white piece behind, then added a small green net bow with a black gem,  this is my top layer.  I found a matching piece of blue card (in the bit box that we all have) lol. I used the matching Tonic loopy lace punch down both sides and matted it on some white with some blue ribbon on the corner and this is my 2nd layer.    I used my trademark 8x8 card with a Kraft card mat and some green netting on top as my base layer. I added some silver gems down the leftside of my top layer and some blue and green on the right side of my 2nd layer to finish with. Let me know what you think.

SDD DT Inspiration 13th Jan 14 Floral Fairy Frame

Hi all you lovely crafters hope you're getting lots of crafting done. I'm here to show you my DT piece for Stamping Dragon Designs using the floral fairy frame.  Hope you like what i've made. I coloured it in with promarkers then cut it out with a grand nestie circle. When it was cut out I inked over the die with a distress ink (not sure what one now, maybe old paper lol). Then I added some glitter to her wings with a quickie glue pen and put some on the flowers too.  I added a little bird top right then I got out my flower stash and placed a selection of them on to finish. Hope it inspires you love Jacqui

SDD DT inspiration 6th Jan 14 A friend is quote

Hi there everyone today i'm showing you the gorgeous card (how could it not be its pink and pretty lol.  Anyway today I used the image A Friend is Quote from Stamping Dragon Designs. There are quite a few quotes and borders available and this is just one sample. I used an 8x8 card base and layered some pink card on it. Then I placed some small half pearls all around the outside.  I found a piece of patterned card in my stash and added some silver gilding flakes around the edge with super sticky tape. I put some small pink pearls on the flourish in the corner and added some silver bling down the other side.  Using a quickie glue pen i added some pink and silver glitter to my topper, then placed it on my card. I added a pink butterfly from my stash with some half pearls down the centre and to finish I added some ribbon and flowers from my stash in the corner. In the pink

This card was made for the In the pink card challenge. http://inthepinkchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
I totally loved making this card as its so different for christmas.

I used the following:
8x8 card blank
Chloe Diamond Wreath Stamp
Chloe pink Wow powder
SB grand nestie circle die
Stuff from my stash

I stamped the wreath and embossed it and then the corner wreath twice and lay it on top with some pads. I cut it out with the smallest of the grand nestie circle dies. The background was in my stash from a previous play day. Its a mask with glue through on pink card and glitter over. I layered this on some contrasting pink card. My card base has the same pink mat as the background with a white corner on 2 sides. I  used some pink xmas ribbon down the left side with a bow at the bottom and a large silver gem in the middle. I used a fancy snowflake gem in the centre of the design. Then added some general pink gems at various points.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Starting over

Hi guys and gals hope you're all safe and warm away from the storms. I'm in the living room with the fire on its great except for the fact the rugby's on and David is very loud in his celebrating and criticising lol.

Anyway i'm here to share a little card I made yesterday with you. I'll be making my xmas cards all year round so this was my first for 2014. Let me know what you think

I used the justrite secret garden stamp for the back ground on black card with versamark and silver embossing powder. I backed this onto red and black card. This card is a 5x5 which is really unusual for me as i LOVE my 8x8 but i have loads of other sizes in my card box so i'm determined to use them and it takes me outside my comfort zone and helps me make different choices and go with new ideas. I definitely recommend it. The poinsettia is from a set my friend gave me and I just decoupaged it and put a large silver gem in the middle. I finished it off with some red corners which i made by pushing into versamark and covering with red embossing powder and i have to say the effect is pretty awesome (unfortunately by photo taking is not lol).  I found a little sentiment in my stash and finished it off and I'm pretty pleased with the result the first of many I hope.  I'm going to enter it into these challenges

Another Christmas Card

Its much easier to make Christmas Cards when you have loads of time and no rush to get them done. Thats why i'll be making them ALL year round with some general ones too of course. For some reason I have no idea why i have a passion for Christmas so i'm just going to enjoy it.

I made this card specifically for the Cutie pie challenge http://cutiepiechallenge.blogspot.com.au/
and i'm going to enter in some others too.  This image is actually a glittery sticker that I got on a sheet last year, there were about 15 stickers on each sheet and I got them for 50p a sheet in the January sales. Definitely a bargain and it shows you don't need to spend a fortune to make a great card.

I put the image on a white doily die cut (sorry don't know where it came from), then I used my ek success circle scissor to cut a red background for it. I had some backgrounds made up from a glitter paste play day and I used one of a border of green leaves on a cream background. Then I backed it on some matching red card with a green mat behind to finished I popped some candi on the corners and some mini gems all over in red and green. I added my sentiment (from my stash) and put a couple of leaf pins behind it. It made a really effective pretty Christmas Card in about an hour!

I'm entering it in these challenges too:

Its Christmas (again)

Now that the stress of Christmas is over i've made some gorgeous Christmas Cards that I love and I hope you will too.

This is my first attempt at a fireside scene and i quite like it. I used a couple of Stamping Dragon Designs
the first was the fireside and the second was the presents (links below)
 http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_409&products_id=861

http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_409&products_id=2301

I coloured my image with promarkers and picked the colours from it for my background. I used a piece of blue pearl card which i embossed with a CC embossing folder and layered it on some red patterned mirror board. I put the presents beside my image and a candle from my stash. Then I simply added my msg at the top with some lights from my stash too. I'm going to enter it in some challenges;
